Details PCU/MS-Tele setting within a tertiary care hospital Patient population includes pulmonary stepdown, intermediate care, ventilated trach patients, COPD, and high-acuity respiratory patients Standard patient ratio of 1:4, with rare flexes up to 1:6 Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (6:45pm-7:15am) 8 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule, combination of Fri/Sat/Sun No on-call requirements Regular floating required between departments, units, and facilities as needed Epic EMR used for charting Requirements Active RN license - Kansas and Missouri or compact license required in hand at time of consideration Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 2 years of recent in-specialty experience required, within the past 12 months with no employment gaps greater than 90 days Strong ventilator experience required Experience with cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management required Skilled in IV therapy including central line, PICC line, and port access/management Respiratory skills required: ventilator care, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ABG interpretation, tracheostomy management Experience with feeding tube care, hemodialysis management, and heparin protocols required Cardiac drip management required (titration skills preferred) Teaching hospital and Level I Trauma experience preferred 2 professional references required, one from a supervisor and one from a charge RN, both from within the past year SSN and finalized RTO/scheduling requests required at time of consideration Additional Information Provide nursing care to patients with cardiac telemetry, respiratory, neurological, and renal conditions Work at a 5-time Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma teaching hospital with 456 staffed beds Navy scrub color required Free parking provided First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for the position Maximum RTO of 7 days permitted Prior permanent employees of the health system must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler Travel partners/companions not accepted for this assignment American Traveler Job ID P-756412.
