Details Work in the ICU/CVICU unit of a community hospital and regional referral center that is Joint Commission Accredited and a Certified Chest Pain Center Level III Trauma facility with 171 beds, 16 of which are in the ICU/CVICU Blended ICU specialty treating adult and geriatric patients Common diagnoses/treatments include STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, Sepsis, CABG, Valve repair/replacement, Acute Respiratory Failure, A. Fib RVR, ETOH Withdrawal, Head Injury, Overdose, Stroke, Trauma, CRRT, TCAR & TVAR Patient ratio of 1:2 Uses Baxter pumps and Medhost EHR Night shift schedule, 3x12s from 7 PM to 7 AM Every other weekend required On-call responsibilities required Floating required to Intermediate Care Unit (as primary RN) and ED holding (for admitted patients) on an as-needed basis Requirements Active RN license (AZ or Compact) currently in hand Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Minimum 2 years of CVICU/ICU experience required Prior travel nursing experience required Additional Information Provide critical care nursing to a blended ICU population including cardiovascular, respiratory, and trauma patients Weekly orientation offered No block scheduling requests accepted, though 48-hour schedules may be considered but not guaranteed Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate Previous perm staff employment at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months is not eligible Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time during the assignment American Traveler Job ID P-756715.
