Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/23/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate individualized patient care. Manage assigned patient populations while maintaining safety and quality standards. Administer medications safely and demonstrate sound pharmacological knowledge. Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease management, and care plans. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Promote effective resource utilization, time management, and productivity. Maintain compliance with nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, shared governance, and peer review activities. Support the learning and development of new employees and nursing students. Maintain professional development and complete required continuing education. Incorporate evidence-based practices and current nursing research into patient care. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Active and current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum of 6 months of RN experience; up to 3 years of experience specified in the requisition. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. EPIC electronic medical record experience. Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational, collaboration, and time-management skills. Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and professional accountability.
