Details Surgical urology unit providing care for post-op patients requiring overnight stays Patient population includes prostatectomy, mastectomy, abdominal surgery, and thyroidectomy cases Administers Heparin drips Day shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM 36 or 48 hours per week available Every other weekend required No call requirements Floating to other med/surg telemetry units required, including across local campuses Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active RN license (Iowa or Compact) required Current BLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted) Current NIHSS certification required 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience required Epic EMR experience required Valid driver's license required Skills checklist specific to Med Surg/Tele required Supervisory reference or performance evaluation completed within the last two years required Additional Information Provide professional nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team in a Level 3 Trauma Center Navy blue scrub dress code Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) Limited to 1 day off request during the Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year holiday blackout periods First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) cannot work travel assignments at other UnityPoint Health markets within 12 months of separation American Traveler Job ID P-781555.
