Job Description & Requirements Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/30/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – NICU – Eureka, CA 95501 Start Date: November 30, 2026 Location: Eureka, California Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM). Patient ratio of 2:1. Weekend coverage required per department needs and union contract. May be required to float to postpartum unit.

Highlights: Level II NICU caring for neonates 32 weeks gestation and above with a daily census of approximately 4 patients in a 5-bed unit Manage CPAP, UAC/UVC lines, high flow oxygen, and ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP) Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, and rapid response teams Opportunity to attend high-risk deliveries and provide breastfeeding support 24-hour orientation with Epic charting system experience preferred 91-day assignment with potential for extension Requirements: Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission) Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required Current BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required Experience with neonates 29-34 weeks and greater than 34 weeks Previous charge experience preferred Epic charting system experience preferred Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years Clean background check required; no Nursys or background hits accepted Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
