Location City: Denver, CO General Information This department utilizes GE monitors and operates with an Electronic Medical Record system of Meditech / CPN. The staff comprises both day and night shifts, ensuring comprehensive patient care at all hours. Typical Hiring Profile The ideal candidates must possess the following qualifications: At least 1 year of current hospital Emergency Department experience Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, and ENPC Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Blue Card PALS certification will be accepted in lieu of ENPC Preferred Qualifications Additional certifications and experience that may enhance your application include: Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN) / IV competency Pediatric Emergency Department experience Typical Procedures Nursing duties in the department include: Port access, IV starts, venipuncture, and nasal washes Point of care testing (troponin, lactic acid, urine dip), EKGs, and Foley placements Personality Fit The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities: Caring, compassionate, and friendly demeanor Strong communication skills with a willingness to go above and beyond Additional Information This unit is equipped with advanced technology and support from a seasoned team of healthcare professionals.
