Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/30/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Shift Information 12-hour day shifts from 0645 to 1915. Scheduled for 36 hours per week following the initial week of orientation. Please note that there is no guarantee of hours.

Experience Requirements A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.

Certifications Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS) Preferred: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Procedural Sedation, Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) License Requirements Candidates must possess an active State of Hawaii nursing license by the start of the assignment. Travelers not currently in possession of a Hawaii license must apply upon acceptance of their offer. Job Responsibilities The role involves floating between various medical and surgical units, providing care to a range of patients. The types of procedures may vary depending on the unit.

Unit Information Medical Unit: 77 beds Laulima Unit (Surgical Acute): 18 beds Cardiovascular Unit: 15 beds Nurse to Patient Ratios Medical Unit: 1:6 for days and evenings, 1:8 for nights Laulima Unit: 1:6 Cardiovascular Unit: 1:4 Ratios may vary due to unexpected leaves of absence. Required Skills Candidates should have 2 to 10 years of nursing experience, with proficiency in the following equipment: Meditech EMR Pyxis Wound vacs Chest tubes Dress Code Professional nursing attire, including clean scrubs, is required. Orientation and Training Orientation time will be provided for each unit to ensure proper onboarding and familiarity with unit-specific procedures.
