Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Location Kingsport, TN | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:30–07:00) | Every Other Weekend | No Call Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on an Orthopedic, Spine, and Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit with a 1:7 nurse-to-patient ratio Participate in float assignments across applicable units as needed Support nursing students and contribute to clinical education alongside the provision of direct patient care Complete required orientation modules, including online computer-based learning (CBLs), during the designated orientation period Maintain compliance with all facility and travel compliance requirements, including timely completion of drug testing and fit testing per CDC guidelines Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical and/or Telemetry experience AHA BLS certification required (AHA is the only accepted form; all other certifications will not meet compliance requirements) Must complete Relias EKG testing within 72 hours of signing; two attempts allowed — failure of both attempts will result in cancellation Must be available to complete drug testing within 12–14 calendar days prior to start date, with availability for a second lab visit if needed Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be accepted Preferred Experience / Skills Experience in Orthopedic or Spine nursing First-time travelers are welcome to apply Comfort with floating to multiple units within the same specialty area Why Join Us Expected schedule of 36 hours per week with a structured every-other-weekend rotation and no on-call requirements Opportunity to contribute to the development of future nurses through an active clinical education program Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 793034.
