Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/23/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description We are seeking a skilled ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team. This role requires an individual with substantial experience in critical care nursing, specifically in a hybrid ICU/PCU setting. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in a mixed critical care unit, including neuro, spine, cardiac, medical, and surgical patient populations. Monitor patient vital signs and blood work, performing timely interventions as needed. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, utilizing advanced nursing skills. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care. Conduct and manage emergency codes confidently. Float to various inpatient units including Med/surg, Med/tele, Acute/tele, and ED, as required. Participate in training and onboarding initiatives as directed.

Scheduling Information Shifts: 12-hour night shifts, 1900-0730 for three shifts per week.

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.

Holiday Requirement: Must work Christmas Eve or Day, and New Year’s Eve or Day based on unit needs.

Qualifications A minimum of two years of recent experience in Critical Care/Intensive Care Unit nursing. Proficiency with balloon pumps, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Impella devices, and open heart procedures is required for night shifts.

Experience in drawing labs and conducting independent consultations. Must have an active RN license in Kansas or a compact RN license, along with current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications. New graduates are not accepted for this position.

Additional Information This facility adheres to a nicotine-free policy. The role includes a non-billable orientation period of 8 hours.
