Details 34-bed Medical Surgical unit with telemetry capabilities Patient ratios of 1:5-7 Night shift schedule, 4x12 or 3x12 hours from 19:00-07:30 Schedule includes weekdays and weekends (3 per 4-week schedule period) 13-week contract with possible extension Uses Cerner EMR Requirements Active WV or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted for submission)

Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA-issued BLS and ACLS required) Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Minimum 2 Manager and/or Charge Nurse references from the past 2 years required Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration preferred Experience with IV therapy, central line, and PICC line management preferred Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills preferred Wound care/wound vac experience preferred Pre/post cardiac catheterization and pre/post hemodialysis management experience preferred Additional Information Provide direct patient care on a medical surgical unit with telemetry monitoring Candidates must maintain a permanent address more than 100 miles from the facility, with 75-100 miles considered case-by-case at the same rate Facility will only tolerate 2-3 call-offs per contract due to ongoing attendance concerns Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from their last date of permanent employment before returning as a traveler Current Vandalia Health System employees (including CAMC Health Systems, Mon Health Systems, Davis Medical Center, Broaddus Hospital, Webster Memorial Hospital, Grafton City Hospital, Highland-Clarksburg Hospital, and Minnie Hamilton Health System) are not eligible for travel contracts within the health system Travel experience is not required, so first-time travelers may be considered Orientation is held every other Monday Non-billable training modules required prior to start date, averaging 8 hours to complete American Traveler Job ID P-779412.
