Details Work in the PACU unit of a hospital setting Phase I PACU recovery with cath lab recovery responsibilities Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours with variable start times between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM, Monday through Friday Call availability required Flexibility to orient and work across all facility locations Floating from pre-op to PACU required May be reassigned to a different department, unit, or facility within a 75 mile radius if qualifications are met Requirements Active CA RN license required at time of submission BSN required Current certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS Minimum 3 years of experience required Phase I PACU experience required Inpatient experience required Cath lab recovery experience required Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history Prior travel assignment experience within the last 12 months required 2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration Additional Information Provide perianesthesia nursing care including cardiac monitoring, arterial line management, dysrhythmia recognition and management, and IV therapy Administer medications including IV vasopressors, narcotics/opioid analgesics, and reversal agents Experience with surgical case types including bariatrics, ENT, general, gyn, neuro, ophthalmology, ortho, vascular, and urology preferred Knowledge of pain assessment and management, PCA pump management, and RASS required COVID-19 vaccination and booster required with no exceptions Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed with dates, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers All RTO must be disclosed and approved at time of offer, with no additional requests accepted mid-contract RTO is not permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment start date American Traveler Job ID P-778302.
