Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Stepdown Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/29/2026 Duration: 26 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Registered Nurse, Step Down Unit. The role supports patients in a progressive care or medical-surgical telemetry setting based on the organizations needs and the clinicians skills. The assignment requires flexibility across applicable units and participation in onsite float coverage within the clinicians skill set.

Job Details Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse; minimum of 2 years of progressive care unit or medical-surgical telemetry acute care experience; travel nursing experience; completion of a Step Down Unit specialty examination and required skills validation; Electronic Medical Record proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in both progressive care and medical-surgical telemetry settings.

Float: Float rotation may be required.

Additional Information: Contract options range from 13 to 26 weeks. Every other weekend and holiday coverage may be required. Assignment placement is based on organizational needs and the clinicians demonstrated skills. Clinical responsibilities may include working in progressive care or medical-surgical telemetry settings.
