Job Title Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) Location Plano, TX | Acute Care / Emergency Department Schedule / Job Type Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Expected 4 weekend shifts per month Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity emergency department environment, including trauma bays, burn room, psych room, and vertical treatment areas across a 38-bed unit Perform and assist with procedures related to certified chest pain, comprehensive stroke, Level 1 trauma, and accredited burn cases Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient care Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, advanced paramedics, EMTs, and unit secretaries, adapting to variable census and acuity levels Maintain a patient-first philosophy while remaining flexible and composed in a fast-paced environment Participate in self-scheduling and may have opportunity to cross-train at a sister facility Required Qualifications Active Texas RN licensure or compact license eligible for Texas BLS certification required ACLS certification required PALS certification required TNCC certification required SAMA, CPI, or equivalent de-escalation certification required (30-day grace period may be available for candidates who do not currently hold this) Minimum 1 year of emergency department nursing experience Preferred Experience / Skills ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification Experience in a high-volume, high-acuity emergency department setting including trauma and burn care Easygoing, adaptable personality with a positive attitude and strong patient advocacy mindset Why Join Us Work in a well-staffed, Level 1 trauma-capable emergency department with a free charge nurse always present and a supportive team environment Enjoy self-scheduling flexibility in a facility that values work-life balance for its travel nursing staff Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 800798.
