Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/23/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room/Surgery Summary: The Registered Nurse practices independently in a clinical setting and demonstrates comprehensive awareness of various healthcare situations. This role involves providing both routine and complex care, while striving to achieve long-range goals and effectively managing contingencies of clinical nursing. The RN will make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to support the clinical team.

Responsibilities: Fulfill expectations associated with OneCHRISTUS Competencies, including roles as a Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. Provide nursing care in alignment with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Address the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families according to professional practice levels. Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness. Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately. Assess patients’ learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify potential issues and available resources.

Job Requirements: Education/Skills Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.

Experience A minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required (American Heart Association only). Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of TX or a compact license is mandatory.
