The NICU is a Level 3 unit that provides specialized care for infants, including preterm and those with respiratory failure. This position involves working 12-hour day shifts and requires a commitment to providing high-quality care to our youngest patients. Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill neonates. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including hospitalists and intensivists. Participate in patient assessment and develop nursing care plans. Utilize advanced monitoring and therapeutic equipment, including ventilators. Provide emotional support and education to families. Participate in unit-based initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes.

Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a NICU setting.

Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).

Experience caring for pediatric patients is preferred, with a focus on neonatal care. Work Schedule This position entails a schedule of 36 hours per week, including every other weekend and rotating holidays. Flexibility to work extra shifts may be required, with self-scheduling options available while ensuring unit balance.

Additional Information Unit contains 26-30 beds, with a focus on respiratory and preterm conditions. Participants in unit-specific orientation will receive 1-2 days of training with a preceptor. Floating to other facilities within the region may occur; however, mid-shift floats are rare.
