Travel Assignment Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Location: Albuquerque, NM 87102 Employment Type: Travel Nursing Shift: 12-hour night shifts Schedule: 3 shifts per week Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week, with an option for 48 hours at straight time Assignment Length: 13 weeks Start Date: 10/12/2026 Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,620 - $1,700 Orientation: 24 hours Patient Ratio: 1:2 Weekend Coverage: Required Float Requirement: May float to MS, Stepdown, PCU, ER, or CVICU as needed Openings: 1 Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; pending New Mexico or compact license accepted prior to start At least 1.5 years of ICU experience required Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications Experience caring for adult patients in a high-acuity critical care setting Comfortable working with a 1:2 patient ratio Ability to float within scope to like units as needed Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset Ability to meet travel nursing compliance requirements and complete onboarding steps promptly Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate, and skilled bedside care to critically ill adult patients in the ICU Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changes in clinical status Administer medications, manage infusions, and support complex treatment plans Perform and assist with advanced ICU procedures and therapies as appropriate Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary care team Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and thoroughly Support infection prevention practices and maintain a safe care environment Float to related units when needed while maintaining quality patient care Apply now for this Albuquerque ICU Registered Nurse travel job and take the next step in your critical care nursing career.
