Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Orthopedics Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 9 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary (List Format): - Assess orthopedic and medical/surgical patients every shift - Educate patients on wound care, mobility, self-care, medication management, care transition needs, and additional patient-specific needs - Collaborate with physicians and surgeons regarding patient care - Delegate tasks and monitor interventions performed by Health Care Technician (HCT) staff - Set up orthopedic traction and manipulate surgical traction devices for patient mobility and wound care - Manage wound appliances, including wound vacs, drains, pouches, and other urological devices - Maintain compliance with required certifications (Illinois RN license, BLS) - Ensure high standards of patient care through effective communication and coordination with the healthcare team Med Ninjas Job ID 16475. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
