Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Location Omaha, NE | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract (13 or 26-week options) | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts) | 36 or 48-hour weekly options available | Onsite Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on a 40-bed non-specialty Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit serving adult patients (18) with acute and chronic conditions including sepsis, respiratory illness, gastrointestinal disorders, endocrine conditions, cardiac disease, and COVID-19 Manage titratable drips, chest tubes, tracheostomies, complex wound care, post-bariatric procedures, high oxygen delivery systems, and end-of-life care Function within a team-based care delivery model alongside Lead Nurses, Virtual Nurses, LPNs, and Nursing Assistants, working at the top of your scope of practice Document and chart patient care using EPIC electronic health records (required) Float within scope to meet facility staffing needs across multiple units, including potential float to an additional campus; travelers are first to float Adhere to weekend requirements: expected 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible within a 4-week period (Friday night and Saturday night for night shift); travelers are expected to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's windows) Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending Nebraska RN state license accepted; if license is not in hand at time of submission, start date will be scheduled approximately six weeks out) Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience required , with experience in a large, urban hospital setting Experience with titratable drips required across all floors BLS certification required EPIC charting experience required Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted Preferred Experience / Skills Experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center (may be considered in lieu of standard first-timer restrictions) Familiarity with team-based care delivery models involving multidisciplinary staff Experience with complex patient populations including post-bariatric, tracheostomy, and end-of-life care Why Join Us Opportunity to work at the top-rated hospital in the state within a large, Level I academic medical center environment offering exposure to highly complex and diverse patient populations Innovative team-based care model designed to promote collaboration, communication, and professional growth among all care team members Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 799908.
