Details Work in the MS/Tele unit of a hospital setting Patient ratio of 1:5 Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:45-07:15) Every other weekend required No call-in requirements Epic charting system preferred experience Low pediatric patient population; peds patients only assigned with PALS certification Requirements Active compact or LA RN license required in hand upon consideration Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and CPI required; PALS preferred Minimum 2 years of recent specialty experience required Skills include IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and respiratory care Experience with wound care, insulin protocols, and telemetry monitoring preferred Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred Driver's license required for consideration Up-to-date NURSYS report required for consideration Additional Information Provide med/surg and telemetry-level nursing care including cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and respiratory support May be required to join an emergency response or relief team during facility emergency events Must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) Orientation is held five days a week 2 Manager/Supervisor references required prior to starting contract (Charge RN references not accepted) Candidates must reside more than 65 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted Former permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have a 1-year separation from the health system before returning as travelers All requested RTO must be included on the profile and discussed during interview First-time travelers are welcome to apply American Traveler Job ID P-772698.
