Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/09/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Job Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) role involves working in both the Emergency Room (ER) and Med-Surg units, providing care for a variety of patients depending on what presents during shifts. The RN will be expected to adapt to the needs of the facility, which may lead to a higher focus on Med-Surg duties on some days.

Shift Details Shift Type: Days Shift Hours: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM Essential Responsibilities Float between the ER and Med-Surg as required. Provide patient care to diverse populations with varying needs. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality care. Evaluate and document patient progress and care plans utilizing Athena EMR. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications Active Registered Nurse license in Kansas or multistate. Minimum of 3 years nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers considered.

Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (all AHA). Work Environment The typical nurse-to-patient ratio is approximately 1:3, with a maximum of 5:1. You will be supported by 2 nurses, 1 nursing aide, and 1 staff secretary on the floor.

Additional Information No mileage restrictions. No set scrub colors required. Covid vaccine exemptions accepted; flu vaccine not required.

Cancellation Policies Shift Cancellation Clause: One (1) shift may be canceled every 30 days during a thirteen (13) week assignment. Guaranteed hours will not apply for canceled weeks.

Call Off Clause: If a shift is canceled after work has started, the facility will pay for the hours worked or a minimum of 2 hours, whichever is greater. Thrive Staffing Job ID 19400905.
