Details Labor & Delivery unit with Postpartum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and Normal Newborn care Facility averages 200-300 births per month Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:30 Staffing ratio of 1:1 to 1:3 Performs vaginal and cesarean deliveries, circulates in OR, and starts adult IVs Administers blood and blood products, manages drains, epidural pumps, and PCA pumps Administers insulin and Magnesium Sulfate therapy Uses IUPC placement and calibration for fetal monitoring Epic EMR used Floating required as needed between sister facilities Requirements Active WA state or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of experience in LDRP, L&D, PP, and Newborn care required Required certifications: BLS, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, NRP ACLS preferred Skills required: circulating, fetal heart monitoring (FHM), IV starts Experience with high-risk antepartum and high-risk L&D care required Sterile vaginal exam and C-section recovery experience required 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required Additional Information Care for Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and Normal Newborn patients Assist with high-risk deliveries and triage obstetrical patients Provide pain assessment and management, including use of IV PCA Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day Local candidates accepted at the same rate Previous Providence permanent employees must be separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months and reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities, including location and dates Travel experience is not required, making this role suitable for first-time travelers American Traveler Job ID P-774028.
