Details Med/Surg unit on the 3rd floor with 25 beds Patient ratios of 5-6:1 during days and 6:1 at nights Daytime staffing includes a unit secretary and 2-3 PCTs; nights staffed with 2-3 PCTs Unit equipment includes Sara Steady lifts, Wound Vac, TeleHealth, Virtual Sitter equipment, and remote telemetry Uses Meditech documentation system Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Scheduled to work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday), with flexible weekday scheduling PRN floating required, most often between Med/Surg units Performs IV and foley catheter placement procedures Requirements Active RN license (TN or compact) BLS certification required; NIH Stroke and CPI certifications preferred Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required Strong assessment skills required Experience with IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing cabinets required No employment gaps equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Follows Behavior Standards for Service Recovery (BSSR) and hourly rounding protocols Required dress code: black or royal blue scrubs Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted First-time travelers may be considered American Traveler Job ID P-773994.
