Details Med/Surg Tele unit in a short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center hospital 10-week contract for winter coverage Day shift, 4x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:00 PM Patient ratios average 1:5 days, 1:6 nights, 1:5 weekends Every other weekend required No on-call requirements Floating within scope required to meet facility needs Uses Epic charting system Requirements Active CT or compact RN license required prior to start date BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required (1.5 years considered if from a Level I trauma center or large hospital) Trauma center experience at a large facility required Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response required Experience with isolation precautions/PPE, non-invasive airway management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and peripheral line care required One professional reference required Additional Information Provide telemetry nursing care within a Med/Surg Tele unit Participate in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and rapid response/code team activities as needed No more than 5 days of RTO permitted, with no holiday RTO allowed Local radius restrictions are waived for this 10-week assignment Travelers are obligated to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted COVID vaccine and booster required, with religious or medical exemptions only First-time travelers are welcome to apply Previous perm staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler American Traveler Job ID P-781265.
