Details 29-bed adult stepdown/PCU unit Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM) 13-week assignment with 36 or 48-hour contract options available Every other weekend requirement Mandatory floating to ICU and MS cluster units (ICU floating considers patient acuity) Cerner charting system preferred Requirements Active MO or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration Current ACLS and BLS certifications required Minimum 1 year of PCU/stepdown experience required Skills in cardiac monitoring, telemetry, IV therapy, and respiratory care Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management Ability to perform physical demands including ambulating, reaching, and moving objects over 20 lbs Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to contagious illnesses Additional Information Provide direct patient care to adult stepdown/PCU patients requiring cardiac monitoring and telemetry Participate in mandatory floating assignments as part of unit staffing needs Required to work at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract Rotating shifts, holiday coverage, and work during inclement weather may be required First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates accepted, though those within 50 miles are not eligible and those residing 51-74 miles qualify for a local rate Maximum RTO of 10 days per contract, with none permitted during the first week due to orientation Travelers may work up to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts (up to 9 months), followed by a mandatory 6-month break before returning in an agency capacity American Traveler Job ID P-776602.
