Details Telemetry unit within a hospital setting Supports surge/overflow patients, including possible floating to the ED for boarder patient care Night shift, 4x12 hours, 19:00-7:00 Every other weekend and every other holiday required Uses Epic for charting Requirements Active MA RN license required Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience required BLS required; ACLS preferred Trauma Level I experience preferred Experience with chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac), spinal precautions, PCA pumps, and epidurals preferred Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, and phlebotomy Two professional references required, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher Additional Information Must pass a pass/fail medication exam during in-person orientation with only one attempt allowed Must pass a pass/fail telemetry competency test during orientation with a minimum score of 80% and only one attempt allowed Study materials will be provided to help prepare for required exams Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days as scheduled Accepts local candidates within a 75-mile radius at the standard bill rate Candidates must have a 12-month separation from the health system if previously employed there First-time travelers are welcome to apply Up to 14 days of requested time off may be submitted for review, though no time off is allowed during the first week of the assignment American Traveler Job ID P-771460.
