Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/30/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) | Travel | Illinois Assignment Overview Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Surgical Acute unit, providing comprehensive care to post-operative surgical, trauma, and overflow medical patients. Ideal candidates will excel in post-op care, demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, and thrive in a team-oriented environment.

Assignment Details Facility Type: Acute Shift Details: 12-hour nights, 19:30 - 07:30 Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)

Charting System: EPIC Number of Beds: 63 (49 private, 9 observation beds) Nurse:Patient Ratios: Day 4-5:1, Night 5-6:1 Floating Requirements: Travelers float first; similar level of experience required Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Holiday Requirement: Rotate every other holiday Responsibilities Provide care for post-op surgical, trauma, and overflow medical patients Perform dressing changes, wound care, IV therapy, and pain management Manage central lines, NGs, drains, and TPN Assist with ADLs, turning, and ambulation of patients Utilize Cpap and high flow RT equipment as managed by respiratory therapists Qualifications Required: Active IL license or in the process of obtaining BLS certification Experience in post-op care and critical thinking skills Good bedside manner and ability to work as part of a team Job Type Travel PEL/VIP Job ID 66011088.
