Location: Asheville, NC Unit Description The unit is a 34-bed Adult Medical-Surgical unit, focusing on providing high-quality patient care.

Staffing Information Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 6-7 RNs, 3 CNAs, 1 Health Unit Coordinator Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 5-7 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1 Health Unit Coordinator Patient Ratios Dayshift: 1:4-6 patients Nightshift: 1:5-7 patients Equipment and Technology The unit utilizes Cerner as the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Qualifications Required Skills: Telemetry rhythm interpretation capabilities Critical thinking Time management Ability to assess medical-surgical level patients and effectively communicate changes in acuity Strong communication skills Punctuality for work shifts Preferred Skills: ACLS certification Typical Procedures Administration of IV fluids Tube feeds and PEG feedings Administration of IV antibiotics Team Dynamics Ideal candidates will have a collaborative attitude and should embrace teamwork, offering assistance to CNAs and fellow nurses as needed. Required Certifications BLS certification Additional Information Floating to other medical-surgical units and occasionally to the Emergency Department holding pod may be required.

Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs Weekend and Shift Requirements Eligible candidates must be available for every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per pay period.
