Details Community hospital Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit (2 West, Main Building) 27-bed unit staffed with 1 CNC, 5-6 RNs, and 3 CNAs per shift Patient ratio of 1:5-6 Night shift schedule, 7p-7a 3 weekend shifts per month required No on-call requirements Uses Meditech EMR Common procedures include general surgery, Echo, EKG, colonoscopy, TEE, EEG, and wound vac care Equipment used includes Welch-Allyn vital sign machines, glucometers, Polar Ice, and CBI Requirements Active MO RN license or compact license required BLS and ACLS certification required NIH Stroke Certification required Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience required No employment gaps of 90 days within the past 12 months US SSN and DOB required for consideration Two professional references required for Missouri assignments Additional Information Provide direct patient care on a busy Med-Surg/Telemetry unit including monitoring, procedures, and coordination with care teams Daily multidisciplinary rounds (MDRs) held to coordinate patient care Case management and PT/OT/ST services located on the same floor as the unit Orientation to unit policies and procedures provided Opportunities for resourcing, precepting, and working with students Scrub color requirement: Grey for RN/LPN staff Unit has received Daisy and Bee Awards along with peer-to-peer recognition Open to block scheduling for travelers Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted First-time travelers may be considered American Traveler Job ID P-753798.
