Unit Specifics Number of Beds: 23 Patient Ratios: 1:4 to 1:5 Unit Staffing: Includes Unit Secretary and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)

Equipment: Traction, fixators, cooling equipment Documentation System: Meditech Scheduling Requirements: 3 shifts of 12 hours each, including 3 weekend shifts per schedule period Floating Policy: Contract labor will float first, primarily to other Medical-Surgical units Patient Experience Requirements: Bedside shift report and hourly rounding are mandatory Skills and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Valid RN license and BLS certification Preferred Experience: Orthopedic experience, Telemetry, and NIH Stroke Scale familiarity Procedures Performed: Post-operative care for knee, hip, and shoulder replacements, management of trauma patients, and some neurological overflow cases Dress Code Required uniform consists of navy scrubs.
