IV Pump: Alaris Med dispensing: Pyxis C-arm: Siemens Artis Zee (experience preferred for Techs)

Patient Types: Inpatient, outpatient, ER. No Neuro IR here. Staff will assist with ultrasound guided cases and assist in CT as well, as needed. 1 RN, 1 Tech, Radiologist/PA/APC (Advanced Practicing Clinician) in case at minimum. Higher level cases usually have an additional RN or RT Required: Paras/thoras, biopsies (bone, thyroid, liver, renal), abscess drainage, angiograms of upper/lower extremities, fistulograms, g-tube from scratch/exchanges, kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, coil embolizations, nephrostomy tubes/nephroureteral stents, some trialysis catheters/central lines, ports, IVC filter Preferred: Y90s/TIPS Skills required: RN: must be comfortable administering conscious/moderate sedation (no propofol), administering other IV medications, circulating cases Support within the Department: Radiologist 4 RNs, 4 Techs is the fully staffed model RT Hospitalist Rapid Response (RRT)/Code Team Manager/supervisor Lead Tech – makes schedule and manages daily operation in the lab Floating: Sometimes to CT with patients to continue cases Scheduling: Weekend rotation: Call only, see below On call? Yes 1 weekend per 4-week schedule. EOS Friday – Monday at 07:00 1 weekday call shift per week – 16:30-07:00 1 RN and 1 Tech will work the “late” shift (08:00-16:30) on their call days.
