Details Float position covering ICU, Telemetry, Med/Surg and PCU units Primarily covers a 20-bed medical ICU with 2:1 patient ratios Cares for patients with cardiac arrest, sepsis, ventilation, stroke, surgical and dialysis needs, plus bedside procedures Night shift schedule: 3x12, 7p-7a Weekend and holiday rotation required 0.9 FTE position Requirements Active, unrestricted KY RN license or compact license Minimum 1 year of RN experience required Telemetry experience required CRRT/IABP experience required ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred BLS (AHA) required within 90 days of hire ACLS (AHA) required within 6 months of hire PALS required within 6 months of hire NIHSS required within 6 months of hire Nonviolent crisis prevention training required by end of orientation and annually thereafter Annual influenza vaccination required Candidates who already hold ACLS, PALS and NIHSS are strongly preferred Recent specialty experience preferred, ICU or critical care experience a plus Additional Information Performs hourly patient rounding and bedside shift report Prioritizes care as patient needs change across multiple units Maintains ongoing communication with physicians and other departments Requires flexibility and strong time management across varying acuity levels and units Adheres to infection-control protocols and patient privacy and confidentiality requirements Physical demands include frequent lifting, pushing and pulling over 35 lbs, walking, repetitive motion, bending, and color discrimination for clinical cues Regular exposure to blood, body fluids, sharps and airborne infectious diseases Must reside within 75 miles for travel rate eligibility, with local candidates accepted at a lower rate Submission requires last 4 digits of SSN and MM/DD of date of birth American Traveler Job ID P-781181.
