Details Emergency Department setting serving combined adult/pediatric populations Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM Patient ratios of 1:4-5 depending on staffing and volume Required to work 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6-week period Holiday coverage required as needed No on-call responsibilities Floating to any campus within the health system may be required Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active NC or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience required Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Preferred certifications: CPI, PALS, TNCC Epic charting system experience required Preferred skills include arterial line management, procedural sedation monitoring, ICP monitoring, and neuro-trauma care Preferred experience in Level I or Level II Trauma Center settings Preferred Charge RN experience Must pass a compliance EKG exam with up to two attempts allowed Additional Information Provide emergency care across a wide range of patient presentations, including trauma, cardiac, neurological, and pediatric cases Perform cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management Work in a facility with STEMI and Stroke Certification First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, and no local rates apply RTO must be submitted with the initial application; no post-submission RTO requests are accepted American Traveler Job ID P-779756.
