Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Galax, Virginia.

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/30/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Registered Nurse, Emergency Room, Galax, VA. This nighttime emergency nursing position provides care to patients of all ages, including individuals presenting with sepsis, congestive heart failure, chest pain, stroke, diabetic ketoacidosis, and trauma. The role supports emergency and critical care services in a fast-paced setting and requires strong emergency and trauma nursing skills.

Job Details Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week; rotating weekends every other week.

Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience; Registered Nurse licensure in Virginia; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course (ENPC) certifications required before the start date.

Preferred Qualifications: Emergency room experience.

Additional Information: Provides care for patients across the lifespan. Emergency and trauma nursing experience required. Critical care experience preferred. Charge nurse experience preferred. Scrubs in blue or black are required; casual wear is not permitted.
