Details Outpatient Pavilion operating room setting with 6 rooms and an average daily census of 35 Surgical Services caseload spans General, GYN, Breast/Plastics, Urology, Ortho, Podiatry, and Eyes Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM No weekends or holidays required Late stay call sign-up required On-call responsibilities apply only to certain areas such as OT, IR, and Cath Lab, with a 30-mile/30-minute proximity requirement Floating may be required in rotation with client staff per facility and Joint Commission standards Requirements Active VA or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR preferred Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required Proficiency across multiple surgical specialties including ortho, breast/plastics, urology, GYN, and general surgery preferred Epic charting experience preferred Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred Previous charge experience preferred Additional Information Scrub and support a wide range of surgical procedures across multiple specialties including GYN, plastics, podiatry, orthopedics, general surgery, ENT, urology, and ophthalmology Facility is smoke/nicotine-free Up to 7 non-billable hours of orientation modules required, varying by specialty Flu vaccination required during flu season (October 1 - March 31) RTO requests should be minimal and submitted upfront, with approval at manager discretion Previous VHC staff members must wait one year before returning as a traveler First-time travelers not considered; minimum 2 years of prior OR RN experience required American Traveler Job ID P-775830.
