Details Progressive Care Unit with 15 beds, including 3 step-down ICU beds and 12 telemetry beds Patient ratios of 1:4 for Progressive Care and 1:3 for Step-down ICU Scheduled 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation with no guarantee of hours No call requirements Floating required to other acute units including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER Uses Meditech for charting and Pyxis for medication administration Utilizes BIPAP and continuous cardiac monitoring equipment Requirements Active HI RN license required by start of assignment, with application upon offer acceptance if not already held Current BLS and ACLS certifications required At least 1 year of hospital acute care experience within the last year required Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred PALS and NIHSS certifications preferred Additional Information Responsibilities include primary nursing care, telemetry monitoring, telemetry strip reading, and fingerstick blood sugar testing Scrubs required as part of dress code All travelers must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to the start of the assignment Travelers should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start to report to Employee Health that Friday morning American Traveler Job ID P-766605.
