This position involves providing high-quality care to patients with a variety of medical conditions.

Unit Information Unit Type: Med/Surg & Telemetry of Beds: 36 Nurse:Patient Ratio: 1:4 Responsibilities Provide care to patients with conditions such as congestive heart failure (CHF), hypertension, chest pain, COPD exacerbations, asthma, pneumonia, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding, and acute renal failure. Monitor and titrate medications for pain management, blood clots, and blood pressure control. Read telemetry strips and escalate concerns to physicians as needed. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure effective patient care. Float within designated zones based on unit and departmental needs when requested.

Qualifications Experience: Minimum 2 years in a similar nursing role.

Certifications: Current ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications required.

Skills: NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred. Ability to provide care in a telemetry setting and manage titratable drips is essential.

Shift Information Shift Type: Night shifts with a commitment to working 6-9 weekends in a 6-week schedule.

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week.

Orientation: Required in-state presence for the week of orientation, even if initial modules are completed remotely.

Additional Information Self-scheduling and block scheduling options available. Weekend and holiday shifts are required as part of the staffing plan. Scrubs are not provided; no specific dress code.
