Details Critical access hospital setting covering Med/Surg, ER, LDR, and Nursery units Responsible for total patient care when assigned to ER, Med/Surg, LDR, or Nursery Night shift schedule, 5p-5a, 3 days/week (36 hrs) Weekend and holiday rotation required Documents medications using barcode scanning in the electronic health system Requirements Active NE or compact RN license required Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required Graduate of an accredited nursing program Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NRP, and STABLE Strong communication skills required Additional Information Provides direct patient care including administering treatments, medications, and assisting with examinations Cares for obstetrical patients through labor, delivery, and post-partum stages after demonstrated competence Provides newborn care after demonstrated competence Performs ER procedures and therapeutic treatments following demonstration of competence Assists in training and orientation of new employees Participates in quality assurance initiatives, in-service programs, and educational workshops Works in an indoor, smoke-free patient care environment with frequent exposure to biohazardous materials and communicable diseases Housing is limited; candidates are encouraged to research local motel/hotel options On-call rooms are limited and available upon request American Traveler Job ID P-775486.
