The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience and will have completed at least one travel assignment. This role will involve caring for a diverse range of patient types and necessitates a variety of nursing skills. Patient Types Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) Respiratory Distress Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) Atrial Fibrillation with Rapid Ventricular Response (A-fib RVR) Diabetes Mellitus (DM) Blood Product Administration BiPAP Therapy Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA) Overflow Post-Catheterization Patients Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA) Surgical Patients (vascular, abdominal, GI, etc.) Patient Ratios The expected patient ratios are as follows: 4:1 during the day 4-5:1 at night If floated to ICU, a maximum ratio of 1:3 for vascular and DKA patients Required Skills Care for above patient types Management of chest tubes and wound vacs Dressing changes Monitoring femoral arterial sheaths Knowledge of DKA management Experience with BiPAP and High Flow Oxygen therapy Post-TCAR care Femoral Endarterectomy Arterial Line monitoring Certifications Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Basic Life Support (BLS)
