Details Labor and Delivery unit in a hospital with a minimum of 150 births per month Patient ratio of 1:2 Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Required to work every other weekend Must be willing to float to postpartum if needed Epic charting system required Requirements Active CA RN license required Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience, with most recent experience within the last 6 months Experience in hospitals with a minimum of 150 births per month Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required AWHONN Beginner certification required at minimum (Intermediate or Advanced accepted)

Experience with high-risk labor and delivery, high-risk antepartum, triage, OR circulating, and newborn/infant care required Community hospital experience required 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required Additional Information Responsibilities include assisting with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, circulating and scrubbing for C-sections, and recovering C-section patients Perform antepartum care including NSTs, sterile vaginal exams, and triage of obstetrical patients Provide newborn care including APGAR scoring, newborn assessments, and discharge teaching to parents Administer medications such as Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives Holiday coverage required for one of the following: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request allowed First-time travelers are not considered for this position Returning staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius Charge nurse experience preferred Teaching hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred American Traveler Job ID P-767056.
