Job Details Position: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PICU RN)

Employment Type: Travel Nurse Assignment Location: Columbus, OH Start Date: 10/19/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Hours Per Week: 36 Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470 - $2,600 Healthcare Setting: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Weekend Coverage: Required Float Requirement: May float to NICU, PICU, PCU, or other appropriate units as needed Job Requirements Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license in hand Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required At least 1 year of PICU experience required; 2 years of CVPICU or PICU experience preferred Experience in a Pediatric ICU with 30 beds or more strongly preferred Comfortable caring for patients with congenital heart disease, pre- and post-surgical needs, heart failure, transplants, and pulmonary hypertension Strong skills in ventilator management, arterial lines, chest tubes, central lines, and hemodynamic monitoring Ability to provide 2 supervisory references at time of submittal, including at least one manager or supervisor reference Must be willing to float as assigned and meet all compliance requirements Prior experience with critically ill pediatric patients and advanced ICU equipment required Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients in a critical care setting Monitor and assess complex patient conditions, responding quickly to changes in clinical status Manage ventilators, IV vasopressors, chest tubes, arterial lines, and central lines Support patients requiring advanced cardiac and respiratory care in the PICU Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and social services Document patient care accurately and maintain safe, effective clinical workflows Float to related units when needed while delivering excellent patient care Help promote a positive, family-centered care experience for patients and their loved ones Apply now for this PICU nursing job in Columbus, Ohio, and join a healthcare team dedicated to exceptional pediatric critical care.
