This position involves providing excellent patient care to adults and geriatric populations in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients post-operative from CABG, thoracic, and vascular surgeries. Manage patients with respiratory failure, cardiac arrhythmias, DKA, GI bleeds, trauma, strokes, and seizures. Utilize various treatment modalities, excluding invasive mechanical ventilation, to provide optimal patient outcomes.

Monitor and assess patients with metabolic and renal disorders, hypertensive emergencies, sepsis, and neurological disorders. Implement nursing interventions based on patient needs and established protocols. Utilize electronic health records and medication administration systems effectively, including Epic and Pyxis.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient-centered care.

Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience; first-time travelers are welcome to apply. Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Work Environment This position is in a 32-bed unit with an average daily census of 21, maintaining a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:3-4.

The role requires flexibility as floating within the facility may be necessary based on staffing needs.

Schedule Details Shifts: Night (3x12 Hour, from 19:00 to 07:00)

Weekends: Every other weekend is expected unless specified otherwise.

Time Off: Maximum of 7 days is allowed.

Holidays: Travelers are expected to work one major holiday during the assignment and two if three major holidays fall within the assignment period. Compliance and Orientation Full compliance is required prior to starting the role. If compliance is not met on time, the start date may be delayed by two weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. Orientation hours vary based on contract length.
