Job Title Travel RN – Trauma Telemetry (Night Shift) Location Asheville, NC | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to adult med-surg/telemetry patients on a 34-bed unit, maintaining patient ratios of 1:5–7 on night shift Continuously monitor telemetry rhythms and apply critical thinking to assess changes in patient acuity, escalating to Charge RN, Rapid Response, or Provider as appropriate Perform and assist with unit procedures including IV fluids, IV antibiotics, tube feeds, and PEG feedings Attend shift huddles at the start of each shift and adhere to all unit clock-in/clock-out and meal break policies Collaborate with CNAs, HUC, and fellow RNs as a team player, providing cross-coverage support as needed Float to other med-surg units or the ED holding pod on an occasional basis Required Qualifications Active RN license valid in North Carolina (or compact state eligibility) BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of RN experience in telemetry or med-surg Demonstrated telemetry rhythm interpretation skills Strong communication, time management, and critical thinking abilities Ability to work every other weekend (or 6 weekend shifts per pay period) Preferred Experience / Skills ACLS certification preferred; candidates with ACLS will be given priority consideration Experience with Cerner EMR Background in trauma or acute care telemetry settings Why Join Us Opportunity to work at a nationally recognized acute care facility designated as a Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center, serving a high-acuity regional patient population Join a collaborative, team-oriented unit culture that values mutual support among nursing staff and ancillary team members Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 797733.
