Details Medical Surgical unit in a short-term acute care, teaching hospital setting Average daily census of 15 with 12 rooms and 17 beds Patient ratio of 1:4 for all shifts Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) Option to sign for 36 or 48 hours per week Every other weekend required Floating within service line as needed Uses Epic charting system Requirements Active MO or compact RN license required BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required Must pass Relias EKG exam covering interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Skills in cardiac monitoring and emergency response required Telemetry experience preferred Additional Information Provide direct patient care on a busy Medical Surgical unit within a Level I trauma teaching hospital Navy scrubs required First-time travelers will be considered for this role Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility Standard travelers may stay up to 18 months, followed by a required 3-month break in service Permanent BJC or Saint Luke's employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler Returning travelers require an 18-month tenure with a 3-month break in service Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract, with no RTO allowed during the first week of the assignment Facial hair must allow for proper respirator fit testing or will need to be shaved American Traveler Job ID P-775511.
