Details Work in the Telemetry unit caring for cardiac telemetry, MS/Tele, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown patients Patient ratio of 1:6 Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:45-7:15) Weekend coverage required Floating required to like units within scope as needed Epic charting system experience preferred Requirements Active KS or Compact RN license required at time of consideration Current certifications: BLS and ACLS Minimum 2 years of relevant telemetry nursing experience required Previous travel nursing experience required Previous charge nurse experience preferred Trauma Level I or II hospital experience preferred Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, and PICC line management Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, and ABG interpretation Experience monitoring cardiac drips, PCA, and interpreting/managing dysrhythmias Skilled in wound care, IV insulin protocols, and isolation precautions/PPE Additional Information Provide telemetry monitoring and emergency response, including use of rapid response/code teams Care for patients with cardiovascular conditions such as pre/post cardiac cath, cardiac surgery, and MI Manage renal and GI care needs including hemodialysis and feeding tubes Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted Former permanent staff must have separated from employment for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is allowed during the first week of orientation American Traveler Job ID P-775530.
