Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/30/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse II - MedSurg/Telemetry Job Description A Registered Nurse II specializing in MedSurg/Telemetry is needed to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced telemetry unit. The successful candidate will work primarily on the 4th floor in a 48-bed telemetry unit, managing a variety of patient diagnoses.

Shift Information Shift Type: Nights Shift Length: 12 hours Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Weekend Requirement: 2 weekends per 4-week schedule Holiday Requirement: Flexible scheduling for major holidays Unit Overview This telemetry unit caters to patients with conditions including COVID, respiratory issues, gastrointestinal disorders, diabetes, transient ischemic attacks (TIA), cerebrovascular accidents (CVA), and various surgical needs including orthopedic and spinal surgeries.

Patient Care Responsibilities Patient-to-nurse ratio: 1:5 Duration of orientation: 1 shift of unit-specific training Telehealth technologies monitored remotely by techs; RN's to interpret telemetry strips and document accordingly Assist with Bipap, Cpap, high flow oxygen, and other respiratory treatments as needed Qualifications Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar setting Skills: Proficient in reading basic telemetry strips. Familiarity with Cerner is recommended. Must demonstrate competency in managing postoperative patients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, as well as TIA and CVA patients.

Additional Information Floating Requirements: May be required to float to other units as qualified.

Uniform: Navy blue scrubs are required.

Nurse Aide Support: Available on the unit on a 1:10-15 ratio.
