General Information Number of Beds: 40 Staffing: Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 10 Bedside Nurses, 4 Patient Care Technicians, 1 Unit Secretary Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 10 Bedside Nurses, 3 Patient Care Technicians Patient Ratios: 1:4; stretch staffing at 1:5 ratio Types of Patients: Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) Myocardial Infarction (MI) Chest Pain (CP) Arrhythmia Pulmonary Hypertension Valvular Disease Endocarditis Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)

Post Cardiac Catheterization/Stenting Post Pacemaker/ICD/Ablation Equipment: Zoll, Baxter pump, lift equipment, bladder scanner Electronic Medical Record: Cerner Typical Candidate Qualifications Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Stepdown or Progressive Care and Telemetry.

Required Skills: Experience with titratable or cardiac IV medications such as nitroglycerin, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutamine, insulin drip, heparin, bumex/Lasix.

Preferred Skills: Experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin). Previous relief charge experience.
