Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/30/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel IMCU/Step Down Registered Nurse (RN) Position Overview The IMCU/Step Down Registered Nurse plays a vital role in the care of patients transitioning from intensive care to a less acute setting. This position requires specialized knowledge and skills in managing patients with cardiac drips, post-cath lab procedural care, and care of trach and ventilated patients. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality care to patients in the IMC/Step Down unit. Monitor patient vital signs and condition, implementing necessary interventions. Administer medications and manage cardiac drips as per protocol. Deliver post-cath lab care, ensuring patient comfort and safety during recovery. Manage the care of patients with tracheostomies and those on ventilators. Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and contribute to patient care plans.

Schedule Shift Type: Days (3x12 Hours, 07:00 - 19:00)

Weekend Requirements: Yes (6 shifts per schedule period)

Floating: Yes (may float between units as required)

Qualifications Current RN licensure.

Experience in IMCU, Step Down, or similar nursing environments is preferred. Proficiency in managing cardiac drips and providing post-cath lab care. Ability to care for patients with tracheostomies and on ventilators.
