Job Title RN – Telemetry / IMC / PCU / Stepdown Location Atlanta, GA | Progressive Care Unit / Telemetry Schedule / Job Type Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Nights | 3 × 12-Hour Shifts | Expected 36 Hours/Week | Onsite Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on a high-acuity, cardiac-focused PCU/Telemetry unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 to 1:5 Independently interpret cardiac rhythms and manage telemetry monitoring without tech assistance; must pass a proctored Dysrhythmia Exam on the first attempt using calipers Administer and manage common cardiac drips including Insulin, Milrinone, Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Heparin, Lasix, and Nitroglycerin Care for complex cardiac patient populations including Heart Failure, A-Fib, VTach, VFib, LVAD patients, and Heart Transplant patients Perform and assist with procedures such as sheath removal/management, TR Band management, groin site management, and chest tube care May float to similar cardiac/PCU units as needed; will not be assigned to Cardiac Monitor Tech roles Required Qualifications Active RN licensure in Georgia or a compact state license Minimum 18 months of recent cardiac unit (PCU/Telemetry/Stepdown) experience Demonstrated ability to independently interpret cardiac rhythms and pass a telemetry/dysrhythmia exam Experience with all cardiac drips listed (Insulin, Milrinone, Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Heparin, Lasix, Nitroglycerin) EPIC EMR experience required Chest tube experience required; must hold a rating of "4" on all cardiac skills on the skills checklist Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers will not be considered Preferred Experience / Skills Heart transplant experience preferred (training may be available) LVAD experience preferred (training may be available) Familiarity with procedures such as cardioversions, ablations, pacemakers, ICDs, and STEMI/NSTEMI care Experience with right and left heart catheterizations and valve replacement procedure care Why Join Us Opportunity to work in a high-acuity, specialty cardiac environment with a diverse and complex patient population Assignment starts available every Monday, offering flexible entry points for qualified candidates Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 797826.
