Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Float Pool) Location Philadelphia, PA | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Nights (1900–0730) | 3×12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care across multiple inpatient units including Cardiac Telemetry, Medical-Surgical Telemetry, and Surgical Telemetry, floating as needed throughout supported units Manage a diverse adult and geriatric patient population with acute and chronic conditions such as pneumonia, stroke, sepsis, and congestive heart failure Perform and interpret telemetry monitoring, 12-lead EKG acquisition, and administer blood and blood products Manage complex equipment and interventions including CPAP/BiPAP, tracheostomy care, PICC and central lines, PCA pumps, feeding tubes, surgical drains, and wound vac therapy Administer and titrate IV medications and drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem (Diltiazem), Milrinone, Nitroglycerin, and Heparin Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and ancillary staff, including CNAs, to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes at nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4, 1:5, or 1:6 depending on acuity Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing experience Prior travel nursing experience required BLS certification required ACLS certification required NIHSS certification required Preferred Experience / Skills Experience caring for post-operative patients including bariatric surgery and Aquablation procedure patients Background in orthopedic patient care and management of patients with complex comorbidities Demonstrated adaptability and strong clinical judgment in a float pool or multi-unit environment Why Join Us Opportunity to expand clinical expertise across a variety of inpatient settings including cardiac, medical-surgical, and surgical telemetry units No call requirement, providing a predictable and structured night shift schedule Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 797380.
