Job Details Position: Registered Nurse – PCU/Stepdown Employment Type: Travel RN Location: Youngstown, Ohio Start Date: 09/07/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights Shifts per Week: 3 Hours per Week: 36 Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010 Unit Setting: Intermediate care / coronary care stepdown Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact licensure eligibility Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required NIH Stroke certification required Dysrhythmia exam required Previous cardio/vascular nursing experience preferred Experience in acute care, telemetry, progressive care, or stepdown nursing strongly preferred Ability to thrive in a high-acuity, fast-paced hospital setting Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and time management skills Responsibilities Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care in a PCU/stepdown and telemetry environment Complete thorough assessments and develop individualized plans of care for complex patients Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, telemetry strips, and changes in patient condition Manage cardiac and respiratory patients, including those requiring advanced oxygen support Administer and titrate selected drips per unit protocol and physician orders Care for patients with chest tubes, central lines, drains, wound vacs, and other complex devices Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care Educate patients and families while promoting comfort, safety, and positive clinical outcomes Maintain accurate documentation and uphold professional nursing standards Support quality care for patients recovering from cardiac, respiratory, renal, stroke/TIA, and post-operative conditions Why Travel Nursing in Youngstown, Ohio?
